Pantone Color Manager Software

Hello all,

I just rec'd an email from Pantone requesting a follow up survey on a trial version of their Pantone Color Manager Beta Tester (which you can find here). I downloaded it awhile back, and now they wanted to get some feedback with the incentive of a free release version of the program.

So, go try the beta version, or at least register with the Pantone website, and hopefully this offer is still going on.

Script handwriting needed for Non-Profit benefit

Skyland Trail, a metal health treatment center in Atlanta, is searching for assistance with addressing approximately 1,000 invitations for their annual Benefits of Laughter fundraiser in October. They prefer someone who has nice penmanship, requires a minimal charge (or no fee), and can complete the project during the week of August 16. The envelopes can be delivered to Creative Circus and picked up when ready. If interested or for more information, please contact Ashley Vance at 678.686.5905 or avance@skylandtrail.org.

Apple Mac
Apple's 10.6.4 operating system upgrade earlier this week silently updated the malware protection built into Mac OS X to protect against a backdoor Trojan horse that can allow hackers to gain remote control over your treasured iMac or MacBook

i know things are crazy right now at the circus...

but I left my cutting mat in the design room for a few hours and someone used it as the backdrop for their spraymount.

Please don't do this.

It's almost impossible to get it off with anything other than goo gone (which I doubt most people have on hand at school) and although a sticky cutting mat may still do the job, it's very frustrating to have to use.

Please go to the spray room or tear off a piece of the large white paper from one of the rolls. I'd hate for this to happen to someone else.

thank you.

Nike's Incredible World Cup Ad

If you're going to make a commercial about the World Cup, you might as well try and fit as much of the World into it.

It doesn't hurt to be Nike either.

I am AWEfully amazed at how much thought went into this as well as time and effort.

Just for fun, try and see how many trends you can spot.

Great Work from the Olympus Team

(Or whatever agency does their work)

Mother's Day is coming up soon! (May 9th) and although this commercial mainly follows the life of a man, I can't help but think of the baby boomers.

That aside, here's an amazing stop motion movie using photos and an entire room.

The Olympus Pen Story

What Makes Good Design?

That's quite a question to tackle, but the good people over at Web Designer Depot have offered their answer.

It's a quick read with great accompanying images.

Annd just for fun, here's a jazzy, mind-blowing Super Mario World mashup/remix for any of you who remember playing it in a Service Merchandise when you were nine.

Hope it helps!

Sometimes freefonts.com doesn't exactly cut it. You need some inspiration from a place where not many people may know about, including yourself. Introducing Skout, a plethora of "resources for designers, by designers." Print/Web/Image all included. Even a section of sounds?

Be brave.

Shanghai World Expo 2010

A Designer's job, whether it be architectural or print/web based, is to deliver a unique and striking mastery of materials which hopefully provokes some sort of emotional response from the audience.

Here are some photos taken from the trial runs of the 2010 Shanghai Expo (which just recently opened this weekend). Color, size, shape, presentation, and attn. to detail are just a few aspects that these artists have beautifully displayed.

As with all posts on here, I hope this helps your creative process.
