RE: Parking Lot Security – REQUEST FOR HELP
I need everyone’s help with this situation. We have made this appeal before, but here goes again. We had our 3rd car break-in within the last six-eight weeks, between 9:30am – 10:30 am this morning. And in the front of the building. A rear window was smashed, several items were stolen, including a student’s wallet with debit card, driver’s license, etc. Within minutes or an hour of the incident, I understand the debit card was used four times in two locations. Obviously a hit & run.
We have taken numerous steps to beef up our parking lot security, and we are currently getting bids for camera surveillance with accompanying signs, and hiring a temporary security guard for evening hours, until we get the cameras installed.
Roxx’s restaurant had the same thing happen last week in their parking lot loaded with surveillance cameras, but could not get useful information.
MY REQUEST AGAIN:
PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES IN YOUR CAR IN CLEAR SIGHT, REGARDLESS OF WHERE YOU PARK HERE. PUT THEM IN YOUR TRUNK OR GLOVE COMPARTMENT. IT IS AN INVITING TARGET. I TRUST YOU WILL DO THIS FOR YOUR SAKE AND OURS. DON’T BE CARELESS.
Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Duane
